Shell Snowflake

Materials:

Small amount size 10 bedspread cotton

Fabric Stiffener

Size 4 (1.75 mm) crochet hook

Directions:

Ch 5, sl st in first ch to make ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc in ring, ch 2 (2 dc, ch2) 5 times. (6 2-dc groups made.)

Rnd 2: Sl st in next dc and 1^st ch 2 sp. (ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch 2 sp.

(3dc, ch 2, 3 ch) in next 5 ch-2 sp. Sl st to beg. Ch 3. (6 3-dc shells)

Rnd 3: Sl st across to ch 2 sp. (ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in 1^st ch 2 sp. Ch 2, sc between

3^rd and 4^th dc (between shells), ch 2. *2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch 2 sp. Sc

between shells, ch 2. Repeat from * 4 more times. Join with sl st to beg

ch 3. (6 2-dc shells)

Rnd 4: Sl st to ch 1 sp. Ch 3, 3dc in ch 1 sp. Ch 3, sc in sc, ch 3. (4 dc in ch 1 sp,

ch 3, sc in sc, ch 3) 5 times. (6 4-dc groups)

Rnd 5: (Ch 3, sc in next dc) 3 times. *Ch 3, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 3, sc in sc, ch 3, sc

in ch 3 sp. (Ch 3, sc) in each of next 4 dc. Repeat from * around to last

4 dc group. Ch 3, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 3, sc in sc, ch 3, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 3,

sl st in beg sc.

For Hanging Loop: Sl st in 1^st and 2^nd ch 3 sp. Ch 50, sl st at beg of chain.

Finish off.

Stiffen according to directions on bottle.
