Medicate on the Word
The other day after praying with a lady, I gave her a scripture. It was a familiar scripture, so I cautioned that she didn't just read it. I started to say meditate on the Word and I said medicate on the Word. I said ooops and we both laughed. Then something pricked my heart. Maybe it was not a slip of the tongue. Perhaps the Holy Spirit was showing me something. Medicate on the Word. The first thing I thought of was healing. I looked medicate up in the dictionary. It said to impregnate with a medicine, to saturate, to fill completely. How exciting it is to know that God's Word brings life and healing. Just as medicine will not help you if you leave it in the bottle and do not swallow it, God's Word must be swallowed and consumed. It must become part of you. It must become alive to your spirit, you must receive it. We must allow God's Word to be medicine to all that is wrong in our life. A soothing ointment pouring out and saturating our disease, our hurt, our pain, destroying all the junk that Satan has put in our lives. Please don't choose to allow Satan to continue to control you. Drink from the cup of living water He is giving you today. Reach out, receive it. It's yours for the asking.

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
